BUT NEW YEAR’S EVE IS WHEN THE ISLANDS REALLY LIGHT UP. Old Year’s Night, as it’s also called in the BVI, is one big celebration from Norman Island to Anegada and everyone is invited. ‘I always say there are three major New Year’s Eve parties with three different themes’, says John Glynn from the BEYC. ‘Foxy’s at Jost Van Dyke is an R/X rated party (leave the kids at home—raging good time for adults). The party at Trellis Bay is R/PG (kind of family friendly), and the party at BEYC is PG/G (family friendly). All three have great entertainment, and Foxy’s usually gets a big time headline act.’ It’s advised to get here early, or you might experience sailing gridlock for yourself as people from miles around sail to this tiny island to celebrate. 0845 163 5716 www.sunsail.co.uk BOOK NOW AND JOIN US FOR THE FESTIVITIES “Growing up my favorite memory of the Holidays on charter in the BVI was seeing Santa Clause arrive by boat at the Bitter End Yacht Club.” – Jenna Barnes
